Here’s how the day unfolded when Fife Pride returned in person for the first time in over three years:
9:00am – Pride Breakfast
The day began bright and early at The Hive, where attendees gathered for a Pride Breakfast served from 9:00am. For just £5.00, it was a warm and welcoming way to fuel up before the festivities.
12:00pm – Parade

- Start: Fife College, Carlyle Road
- Crossed Townsend Place
- Travelled down Kirk Wynd
- Continued along the High Street
- Turned right up Whytecauseway
- Finished at Kirkcaldy Town Square outside the Town House

12:30pm – Festival Entertainment & Community Zones
From 12:30pm, Kirkcaldy Town Square transformed into the Pride hub — featuring a full afternoon of live entertainment, stalls, and celebration that ran through to around 7:30pm.
Entertainment was hosted by April Adamás and featured a brilliant mix of local talent, drag artists, singers, and headline performers.
Youth Zone – The Hive (12:30pm–5:00pm)
A dedicated space for LGBTQIA+ youth featuring:
- Face painting
- Arts and crafts
- Rock painting (bring your own!)
- Open mic
- Computer games
- Storytelling sessions at 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm & 4:30pm
Quiet Zone – Grain and Sustain, Tolbooth Street
Throughout the afternoon, the Quiet Zone offered a calm space for poetry, sharing, and gentle conversations — ideal for those seeking a break from the crowds.
Fife Pride 2022 was more than just a party — it was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, visibility, and community. The energy was electric, and the welcome was for everyone.
