Fife Pride 2024: Together in Pride

On Saturday 29th June 2024, the streets of Kirkcaldy came alive once again as thousands gathered to celebrate love, inclusion, and solidarity at Fife Pride 2024. With rainbow flags flying and drums beating, the day was a powerful reminder of the strength and joy of our LGBTQIA+ community — and the allies who walk beside us.

The day began at 12:30pm as people gathered at Fife College, St Brycedale Campus to prepare for the Pride Parade. Stepping off at 1:00pm, the parade travelled down Kirk Wynd, along the High Street, and up Whytescauseway, finishing at the Town House in Kirkcaldy Town Square — the heart of the festival.

From 1:15pm to 6:30pm, the Town Square buzzed with energy as live entertainment filled our dedicated marquee. Hosted by April Adamás, the programme featured a colourful mix of music, drag, ceilidh, DJs, and tribute acts — including:

  • Kirkcaldy and District Pipe Band
  • Off Centre Ceilidh Band
  • April Adamás and Drag Performers
  • Cilla Black Tribute
  • Jolene – Scotland’s Dolly Parton Tribute
  • FABBAulous
  • Just the Brave
  • DJ Eden
  • Easy Ride

Meanwhile, the Youth Zone at The Hive offered a vibrant afternoon from 1:15pm–4:30pm, packed with arts, crafts, karaoke, dancing, workouts, and more — creating a fun, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ youth and their friends.

Across the event, over 40 community stalls showcased support organisations, local businesses, campaign groups, artists, and makers. From advice and resources to rainbow-themed products and meaningful conversations, every corner of Pride was alive with purpose and Pride.

This year also marked the exciting return of the official Fife Pride Afterparty, hosted at The Hive from 7:00pm. Hosted by the fabulous Cherry West, the evening featured:

  • Claire Sweeney (headline guest performance)
  • Kel and the Ka-Hulas
  • Dynamo Divas – ABBA Tribute

With music, cabaret, and a packed-out dancefloor, the afterparty was a fitting finale to a spectacular day.

Fife Pride 2024 brought people together — not just to celebrate, but to show up for each other. Because when we march together, stand together, and celebrate together — we show the world who we are. And we do it with Pride.
